Workshop: Learn to Draw Your Own Cartoons

Join cartoonists Nanne Meulendijks (Trouw) and Maarten Wolterink (Vrij Nederland) for a hands-on dive into the world of political cartoons. Nanne and Maarten will take you behind the scenes of their creative process, showing how they develop ideas and transform them into powerful visuals. Through easy-to- follow drawing exercises, you’ll learn to bring your own concepts to life. Nanne and Maarten will also showcase their cartoons on politics and society, sharing insights on what inspires them and how they come up with new ideas.
The workshop is organised by the European Cartoon Award, which honours political cartoonists across Europe. At the same time, the work of the finalists of the European Cartoon Award can be seen in the Lintvitrine in the hall of Centre Céramique.
