Uit Eigen Beweging

Filmmaker Mark Stevens was commissioned by Cultuurmakers Maastricht and the City of Maastricht to make portraits of "non-formally organised amateur art groups".

According to recent research, a lot of people spend their free time practising art. But traditional associations are almost all facing a decline in membership. Cultuurmakers Maastricht went in search of groups of art practitioners who do so in non-formal contexts. The documentary is therefore called "Uit eigen beweging".

Two groups followed for the second part of this docu are: Tuna Femenina de Maastricht and percussion group Bloco Mosa.
