Solastalgia: Animation by Emmy Mevissen

A stop-motion animation about missing something or someone while it or the person is still there. How unbearable it can be that things change but there isn't always anything you can do. And that things will work out anyway, even if that doesn't mean the same as going back to how things were. 
This screening comes full circle; the main character is based on the mourning mantle butterfly from the collection of the Natural History Museum Maastricht! In addition to the animation, the handmade doll and the making process will also be shown.
