My Body, My Instrument by Jennifer Romen  originated from experimenting with isolations. Part of the body is moved and the rest is kept still. Guided by music and lyrics created by herself, Jennifer brings different dance techniques, dynamics and colors together to create a fascinating complexity.

Romen (1996) causes an international furore with her own dance company Oxygen. She is known for the TV program Dance Dance Dance and her participation in the American hit series World Of Dance. Her choreographies are recognizable through visual and illusionary effects.

During Museumnacht Maastricht's Art Appetizer you can enjoy a preview of 'DANCE LAB on tour #1': short dazzling dance pieces by a new generation of makers in contemporary dance. Choreographers Justin de Jager and Jennifer Romen present their latest choreography, developed in the Dance lab of SALLY Dansgezelschap Maastricht and VIA ZUID.
