Butterflies of the Night
20:00 - 01:00
Museumtuin
Did you know that most butterfly species fly at night? There are as many as 2,400 species of nocturnal butterflies. So there are actually a lot more to see at dusk. The best way to see them is to attract them with light. In the museum's garden, Paul Vossen will be using an illuminated sheet to see which nocturnal butterflies are active. At the same time, biologist Paul Beuk observes which other insects are also attracted by the light.
