Talentlab 2024
20:00 - 01:00
Bordenhal
Talentlab is a creative development program started in 2017 by Toneelgroep Maastricht and VIA ZUID. Every year, young promising artists work together under supervision for five intense weeks. Led by Paul Slangen (dramaturg Toneelgroep Maastricht) and Linda Becker (coach VIA ZUID), they engage in experimentation together and are inspired by each other. The 2024 edition will take place during Museumnacht on Friday, April 19, 2024. The makers of this edition are Laila Claessen (multidisciplinary artist and theater maker), Sander Deckx (theater-maker - performer), Sjaid Foncé (Interdisciplinary performance maker), Nina Iggy (performer - visual choreographer), Sofie Kramer (director - performer), Thirza Riphagen (choreographer - dancer), Annabel Schouten (combines music with landscape) and Dirk Vaessen (artist - designer).
Eight young creators are brought together in a theater for five weeks. They do not know each other and each have their own background in different art disciplines or are self-taught. Under the wings of Toneelgroep Maastricht and VIA ZUID, they blur the boundaries between genres and mix different creative approaches. These five weeks in the laboratory result in an artistic mix that will be presented as a refreshing nightcap during Museum Night.
Dance, music, performance, choreography, theater, design, acting, directing and visual arts are fused, collide and find harmony. It is a surprising experience for both the creators and the audience. Step inside Theater de Bordenhal and enjoy one or more multidisciplinary performances. A new performance starts every 20 minutes.
